New EU laws state that you now need to grant consent for websites to store cookie data about your usage on your computer.

This consent can be implied and by using any PGS Services website you automatically grant consent to us storing cookies on your browser.

So what is a cookie?

A cookie is a harmless text file that is stored within your browser. The PGS website will access and amend this data to optimise your experience of the PGS website. Examples of how we use this data can be any of following:

  • Personalisation
    • Example: having the website remember where you live and only showing you services available in your area.
  • Functional
    • Example: remembering if you had clicked a button that might only ever need to be clicked once.
  • Third Party
    • Example: Google may sometimes use the information for statistics and marketing.
  • Statistical
    • Example: so we can track what pages people are visiting throughout our website.

Cookies are not harmful to your computer – they do not contain viruses. Most websites already store cookie information on your computer so it’s nothing to really worry about. However, you can delete your cookies if you so wish!
